EBMM Petrucci Custom Model - 6 & 12 string double neck
Ernie Ball
has made Mr. Petrucci a VERY happy man. The rest of us must continue to suffer:

Check the photos at the top of the page and weep with me, my friends.

that is the ugliest headstock I have ever seen. Geez they could of done something better than that.

the 12-string side looks frighteningly like a Jazz Bass.

I dunno... i think it's kinda groovy! Wicked colour, and i really like that custom wood 12-
string bridge
on it. I don't know if i'd agree with their decision to go with an 8/4 split on the headstock... 7/5 might look a bit more balanced while retaining the traditional EB/MM offset in the number of tuners on each side.

that *is* one ugly headstock... the entire body countour is really awful looking to my eye... but still a cool axe nonetheless. Credit to EB/MM for building these
*If only it had the RG
body shape

Wow! *I really like this guitar, although I thing the headstock is cartoonish. *Interesting that the 12-string has no magnetics at all, just piezos. *Anybody know if this is going to be a
production model
?

I think the chances of seeing a JPM doubleneck production model are about as good as EB/MM putting out a production model of EVH's purple doubleneck: *none whatsoever. *

No production model as far as I know. *I don't think something that customized would sell too well for EB either, in my opinion.

It's probably a good thing it won't make it into production. Having that thing hit the streets would just prolong the number of years guitar store employees (not to mention the rest of us) will have to hear
Stairway to Heaven
and
Hotel California
.

interesting, but I'm still not a fan, I don't like the petrucci EB/MM guitars at all, didn't like the EVH ones either. *About the only model I ever thought even remotely appealing was the
Steve Morse
one, but even that didn't do much for me. *Oh well, if I could get them free, I'd prolly be into them too! LOL

Heck, I'd spend the half hour it takes to retune it and rip out some Tea Party. * *Then retune, more Tea Party, retune, more Tea Party...
