Epiphone LP studio or Fender Tele std?

I was wondering which one would you pick? There both the same price. I noticed that the les paul on the epi website has dot inlays while on the site its for sale at it has pearl trapizod inlays..Did they adavertise the wrong one? Im just curious which guitar is better in the long run for me. where are epi les pauls made?

Epi pros imo ...set neck(sustain), looks a lil better, humbuckers (but they
might be crapy one for all I know) cheap les paul
Epi cons imo...Doesnt say Gibson, set neck could be costly to re fret or
if it breaks im screwed


Tele pro...simple design,bolt on neck makes it easy to fix ,change says
its a fender..if taht means anything anymore at least its not a
squier
Tele cons...no humbuckers,kinda funky looking...to country looking

Well, you're looking at two completely different guitars. Try playing both and see which one feels better in your hands. LP's hape painted necks, which some players don't like (i can stand them, but i prefer strat/ibanez necks). Also the size of the neck is completely different. You can always put a single-coil sized humbucker in the tele, so that's not a big problem.

As for quality, Epi's are made in Korea, Fender standards in Mexico, it is tough to say which ones are of better quality. Some Epi's are fine, and quite a few mexi Fenders have been getting good press. I think the tele is a better investment, as it's easier to later customise the guitar, but they are two completely different animals.
