ERGODYNE LOW VOLUME OUTPUT

I BOUGHT A 5 STRING ERGODYNE THE FIRST YEAR THEY CAM OUT..... IV'E NOTICED THAT ANY OTHER BASS PLUGED INTO MY AMPEG SOUNDS MUCH LOUDER. (WHICH MAKES MO OVERDRIVE MY AMP SOMETIMES.) DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY? I'M THINKING ITS THE COMOSITE BODY. BUT I COULD BE WRONG. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX IT

I believe they have active pickups. *Change the 9V battery found behind the control plate in back.

Before you change the battery in your Ergodyne, you may want to have a look at the Caps Lock key on your keyboard... it appears to be stuck.

I've changed the battery mutiple times so I'm quite sure that's not it. And as for the caps it's not stuck.
I just left it on...I like it that way....

Then it might just be the fact that older Ibanez bass pickups (mid-late 90's) were lower output. *Compare one to a new Ergodyne or Soundgear and you'll probably notice the new one is a lot louder, just the way the pickups are.

That also was in the back of my mind, since (as far as I can tell) all of the new Ergodyne's have different pickups.
