is it true that since they don't make the EVH one's anymore since he went to Peavey that the eernie ball one's could be sold for like 300 dollars?

maybe I wasn't clear... *

No. A used EVH Musicman would probably sell for somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500-2300 last I checked.

Of course, if you've got one for sale, i'd gladly take it off your hands for $300.

I'll give you $350!! hehe EVH/Axis models are lovely guitars. I love the unfinished / broken in feel of the neck. I also played a Luke model recently. Very very nice!

I love my Axis although since I've made the move to 7 strings I don't play it much... any offers??? - pics here .

The Axis is about identical to the EVH except the 3-way switch is near the trem on the Axis as opposed to near the lower horn on the EVH. *And EVH's signature is not on the headstock.

The Axis's seam to differ widely with regard to wood beauty. *I've seen some with very plain tops and very plain maple necks and other with nicer tops and nicer necks. *I've only seen one with a flamed out maple neck (mine). *The EVH's on the other hand all seemed to be very nice tops and necks.

When Eddie left EB/MM, they renamed the EVH model, Axis. The original EVH's on the used market, get a good chunk of change as mentioned above. They have different Axis models, they go for around $1,000. I haven't seen any for $300, though.

If you check the new Musician's Fiend catalog, I think you'll see what he's talking about. *There's a new POS Axis guitar made by some company called 'OLP' that's apparently 'licensed'. *Lists for $300, MF sells it for $199. *Looks like EB has jumped on the cheap guitar bandwagon...

So who wants to guess what 'OLP' stands for? *"Our Lamest Product"? *"Our Lost Pride"?

I know of an original MM EVH that sold around here for $400. The guy needed cash asap. I found out about it a bit too late. :bash:

I think it actually stands for "Officially Licensed Product" And supposedly they're alright for the pittance they cost, but I haven't tried one yet myself.

Rlintz, how do you like your ACS from Godin?
I played one a couple years ago, but haven't found a great deal below the 749.00 msrp, is it worth it?
I liked the feel of the neck and I love nylon strings.

bammbamm,

I love my Godin ACS. *I got mine cheap - $600 from Mars in Atlanta as they were discontinuing them. *The piezo tone is nice and the synth access is awesome. *I route it through the GR-33. *I read a lot of reviews on the net before I bought mine complaining about the intonation but mine intonates well all the way up the neck. *My only complaint is that the Roland 13-pin cable doesn't seat very firmly and is prone to popping quite loudly if touched during playing...

Check out my site for some musical examples of the guitar.
