ESP SC-600

I tried one of these out and it is a beauty. What bothers me (and I am thinking more and more that I should not be bothered) is the level of resell. Because its a production model, would it be much harder to sell than the Signature model? Any suggestions for me?

Are you talking about the ESP or the LTD version of his guitars? Resale is always hard to judge, and relies as much on supply and demand as it does on the brand name on the headstock.

I think LTDs in general are going to have lower resale value just because they're LTDs, even though these Stephen Carpenter models have top-of-the-line hardware and electronics and seem to be produced in relatively small numbers.

LTD have absolutely NO resale value and in general cost as much or more than Japanese made Ibanez, Jackson and Fenders so I would avoid it.
ESP are killing the LTD brand by naming it LTD and then selling it at a price point where most manifacturers sell their prestige guitars.
I mean you can get get a real Gibbo SG Special or a Flying V for that kind of money and the LTD are probably made in the same factory that makes Epiphones.
Just think about that for a second.................

Actually most LTDs are made in the same factory as Ibanez.

Very cynical post from me, but like I said - outsourcing.
I don't care what stickers they put on the guitars at the end of the production line, the fact of the matter is it's a Cort/Samick for Gibbo money.

Actually it's neither, it's a company called World which is owned by the South Korean government. They use a former Samick facility left behind after Samick moved into new digs. But point taken.
