I wouldn't, personally. I had some in a Zakk Wylde Epi and they sounded very nasaly. I think that the evos just don't do as well in that type of wood. The evos in my 7VWH Ash body sounded a whole lot better

There's a great Finnish band called Insomnium and one of their guitarists does this - I think it sounds great through his rig. Anything can sound right if you combine it with proper amplification and finger tone.

Re: Evos in a les paul

i'd go for a SS in bridge and evo neck for a LP m8, much better tonally than the rather harsh sounding evo bridge (at times)

^^ Good advice, or you could try out a BareKnuckle Pickup. They generally bring any guitar to life, particularly something on the thick side like a Les Paul.

Cool ill look in to it. What i'm looking for is a pickup that is like a emg 81 with the distortion but clean i want a warm blusy/90 rock sound. What can get me that.

Re: Evos in a les paul

i like a super distortion in the bridge, and a paf pro in the neck of a les paul. very well rounded tonally IMO.
