Fender Elite anyone?

Hi everybody!
I just tried a Fender Stratocaster Elite and I wonder if anyone has some info about it. It has weird picups that are some kind of predecessor to Fender Lace sensors, and an even weirder trem. Instead of a regular five-way switch, it has push-controls for each picup. Odball or what? Please help!

Mikael

That's the guitar that Ty Tabor used for years before going to his signature Yamaha guitars.
