I just got the Fernandes 2001 catalog and they have a new model called the monterey elite and it looks so sweet. It's not on the web site so I will describe it, the body looks like that of a a les paul gothic with white lp custom binding, a tune-o-matic bridge, sustainer in the neck position, and a seymour duncan jb in the
bridge position. The neck is set mohogany with a bound
rosewood fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets(unlike lp models which I prefer), and if anyone has seen the inlays on the vertigo and vortex elite models then you know what they look like. The headstock has the same shape as the other monterey models only bound.
The only thing stopping me from ordering it right now are to questions, first what are the necks like? Also what is the build quality like on elite models?
p.s. they list at $1099 (less than half of what Gibson would charge if they made it). *
