Jester's right, the FGMs only ever had 22 frets.
The 100, 200, 300 and the last one the 400 with the slightly different HSS configuration have all been 22
fret guitars
. I'm not sure about his new Yamaha model though?

Thanks friends.
One more Q about the FGM's: the neck cavity is routed deeper so the fingerboard is just about in perfect alignment with the top of the body correct? I hope that made sense...

That's mostly correct. *There is a recess in the body for the fingerboard extension, and the neck heel is actually a little thinner than normal. * The end result is the same though, the fingerboard sits closer to the body. *The pickup bezels are also recessed into the body. *At least that's how it was done on the FGM100 body I have. *
The new Yamaha model has everything mounted from the back to achieve the same effect. *It's also only 22 frets.
