Gibson LP Studio or Fender American Deluxe FMT Stratocaster HSS?

I'm thinking of buying one of these two guitars. But in the likely event that I don't like any one of them, which one of the two would be more valuable?

the les paul will retain its value a little better but it will probably cost you more as well

The LP will be more valuable. But they are very different guitars and both great guitars. You really can't go wrong either way. And if you buy used you should be able to get what you paid either one should you sell it.

Oh I didn't see the "Studio" part. The Fender might be worth more then. Personaly I would grab a USA Strat over a LP studio any day.

If you get a Fender, get a 50th anniversary strat. They should become collectables someday!
