Good Job Fender
I bought some pickups from a Fender dealer on the bay back in March. I finally got around to installing them in May and couldnt get the middle pickup to work. In June I finally decided to take it to a tech and let his figure out what I did wrong. Turns out it was a bad pickup. I couldnt go back to the bay because the transaction wasnt good so I didnt count on them being helpful so I contacted Fender. They said if I sent them the pickups they would send me a new set. I really didnt want to remove all the pickups so I was going to try to just send the bad one and hopefully get one back, but after I took off the pick guard I notived the tech had replaced the white wire in an attempt to fix the pickup. I emailed Fender again and asked if that voided the deal about me getting a new set since now I couldnt prove it was Fenders fault. The guy said the deal was off, but after I told him I understood, he emailed me back telling me that he would send me a new set without me sending anything in. Hopefully they will be here soon

That is cool, and it shows if you treat people with a lil courtesy, it can go a long way.

Re: Good Job Fender
They were hot
noiseless pickups
. I actually had a spare one laying around from when they were sold individually. Since I have a working set, I'm tempted to sell them when they come in and put the money towards another strat, but the guy did me a favor by sending me the pickups so I'd hate to just flip the pickups.

Nice man, another reason I've always been a Fender guy. The Hot Noiseless set is absolutely amazing, I love it to death.

Re: Good Job Fender
Cool. That doesn't really sound like Fender, but I guess you got a cool rep. It sounds like he was testing you, and when he found out you were being fair, he decided to play nice too. I am suprised he didn't just send a single though.
Fender would probably be happy to know you are putting the pickup cash toward another Strat ... but keep the pups to put in that new Strat

Re: Good Job Fender
I have a set of 3 gold
Lace Sensors
and a TBX control Im thinking about unloading so I can keep the hot noiseless for my next strat, which I think I already found, but part of me want to over pay for a set of electronics from an EJ Strat.

Wow- too bad more companies do not realize the importance of good PR on the net. This is a great story- I have heard really positive things about those pickups.
