I am so surprised with the hondo I got as well about a week ago.
I was planning on immediately taking it apart and starting to
strip the paint but ive been having a blast playing it so im gonna wait a bit

yea i think i had the benefit of the music store where i got it from (on e--bay)
obviously did an entire setup on the guitar before it went out the door.

I cant complain about the playing on it at all.
just the cosmetic part.

yeah, but it was an easy set up, all I need now are black parts for it :P
I started restoring the other les paul, stripped off the paint, took off the binding, and just right now, I finished applying the new black binding, I think it will be the opposite of the black LP I have :P

I dont think I have the option, as the one I have has a rounded edge
but it might be interesting to look into mod'in it into working

Just wanted to update you guys.

I now sanded the black binding flush and I am looking at buying some spray cans to start the painting process and the project LP.

I am selling the Flying V and the Hondo Les Paul,
