Has anyone else been jonesing for one of those new Dean Razorbacks? Same price as the Fender American deluxe fat strat I have been eyeballing...

I have had a renewed interest in metal lately. That is what I cut my teeth on when I first started playing. OLd school pre black album hardcore ****... Back when everyone still thought that we really worshipped the devil... Hah!

are you talking about the tribute model thats like $3700? Its cool, but its only 22 frets, like all of them, which really turned me off of the FBD model..

I just played the ML "CFH" they just came out with, which was a nice ax, but it has a licenced floyd and a big sticker (yes, sticker) on the back of the headstock that says MADE IN CHINA

I saw a couple in a local music store that looked real nice and played alright but yeah, made in China.

i have a two tone razorback .

yes they are made in China , dont let that full you i kid not they are on par or better with at least 95% of gibsons . The frets are nicely filed , and polished and playablity is excellently fast . the floyds are upgraded , much better then most others with the exception of the original and old ibanez models .I am dead serious when i say that the guitars are very high quality and that they even rival majority of ibanez guitars being made now including the japanese prestige models .

they have 22 jumbo frets , and a US v-neck profile . They are excellent guitars , they are over priced new . no import is worth 1,000 imo but i dont think anyone should pay more then 1500 for any guitar period .

i got mine for 788 shipped in case because it was a blemished that had been repaired and you can find them for as low at 750 blemished shipped in case from some of the major online stores .

Dean's USA guitars are stupid high , and i have said that many times on the dean forums. For a us razorback or razor v look at dropping between 3 and 4 K .

Dean has the best customer support of any guitar company , the owner Elliot and dean himself have called people about thier custom orders personally to get details right. They have also e-mailed users on the dean forums that have has issues or problems with any guitar and have always found a solution to the problem . A day or so ago a kid bought a DFH/CFH and got it home and the pickup was mirophonic so he posted about it and got in touch with the dealer he got it from . Elliot the owner personally called up the store and had a new pickup overnighted free of charge . the dealer installed the pickup and everything is great .

China or not I still want one. I guess I can still fantasize about the beautiful Chinese slave girl who built it in the factory for me. Hah! I have heard that these are great playing guitars and the quality control is still excellent. I am a little scared of any floyds other than Ibanez though... even the original ones.

I'm not too keen on the sharp edges of a razorback, but I love the look of the Dean From Hell! I want one to chug along to CFH... Ack, not another GAS attack!
