Oh, if you modify an existing Les Paul - yes - way too much in cost. I'm talking about building one from the ground up. Way cheaper!

As far as the Zakk guitar pic... I've never seen that one before! Where did you come across that picture? I went through Zakk's guitar collection and never saw an LP with any Floyds... Zakk's style doesn't support such a thing.

Its an old pic. A gift from a friend of mine. I collect guitar pictures. Notice the missing volume knobs. That was even before zakk used emgs!!. Interesting stuff huh. Its on a website somewhere I just cannot for the life of me remember the url, and I didnt save it in my favorites. ive had that pic for almost two years now ) I must add your knowledge of guitar construction is quite good Gabe. Happy all hallows eve!!

I didn't realize Pauls with Floyds could look so fly.

Well I came across this one, made by ESP. It's like 380,000 yen which I bet is a lot of money in American. But it sure looks great.

I don't know if this image posting will work, so here is the address --

Just a heads up if you are interested, www.nealsmusic.com has one for what appears to be a decent price.

"87 Gibson Les Paul Standard White Professionally Installed Floyd Rose $1295"

They don't have any pictures of it though.

BTW - Gibson Les Pauls have a neck tilted back at 85.5 degrees. If there is a floyd installed, the neck must be reset at a different angle or the bridge must be 'built up'.

Holy poo-poo! That is something incredible! If it only had gold covers on the pickups I think it would be a perfect guitar.

Look at the les paul floyd Gabe . As its often referred to has a baseplate just like a kahler trem so you dont have to modify the neck angle

I know Neal Schon had two Floyd Rose equipped LP Customs when I saw him about 20 years ago with Journey. He played the crap out of them too.

And to Gabe: Let me know when you want to start building me a Les Paul with a Floyd. You better do it before you get married so let's get going.

Haha! Yeah no kidding. Well, if I'm going to build a Les Paul it won't have a Floyd.. But I have in the works (back of my mind) a Les Paul Florentine black custom with a grey flamed top. Should be cool. Plus I'm a bigsby kind of guy. I just think they look cool! You can flutter with them too.

Oh, I'll probably see you tonight Kent. I'm going to try to make it out to Sherlocks this evening.
