Guitar # 18
Well, my addiction is never ending. I traded for this Samick Fastback and have another strat coming in..
I ordered a dimarzio Dp193
air norton
for the neck and a
dimarzio Evo
2 for the bridge. I am thinking of swapping out the bridge and tuners for black hardware. I am awaiting a set of tuners for my reliced 69 strat and waiting for my duckbucker pickup for my other strat.. here are some pics of the samick as is.
new guitar day makes me warm and fuzzy inside
i have grown fond of the greg bennet samicks. they are very nice guitars. they play great, have pretty nice pickups and nice finishes. they arent expensive on the wallet at all. i have another samick FA2 tele and i love it. the body has some weight but plays amazing.

No offense but, it looks like an EVH EBMM from the second picture.

Re: Guitar # 18
no offense taken Jimmy. it's a samick fastback, which is somewhat similar to the EVH MM body style. It is also similiar to an
ibanez talman
. i call it the goopy
les paul
this guitar is now known as "The Goopy"

Re: Guitar # 18
I would be honored to carry that name Andy! I sold my three drumkits, bought a roland electronic kit, and went a little looney on guitars. I cant help it. I have a 3 year old son that is into guitars as well, so he will have a nice array when he's ready

Re: Guitar # 18
thanks Flo!. im have the air norton and evo coming in the mail. should make a nice upgrade to the stock pickups. the strat im working on will have a SVR-1, SSL-1 and a duckbucker in it. my reliced '69 strat is waiting for tuners. i popped in
fender custom shop
69 pickups in it, reliced the body, and installed 69 RI parts. i still want to upgrade the bridge to a RI but will have to wait awhile to do so.
my
Dave gilmour
strat project takes priority

I used that excuse when I bought an electric drum kit too... I keep telling the missus that it's like school shoes, he'll grow into it! He's 6 months old.
