Re: Guitar fetish

I have no idea on the bodies and such, but I have used them for much hardware.

Great people to deal with for me.

The first time I saw paulowina it was on a low-end guitar. Really low-end. The Dean Vendettas that go for a cool hundred bucks. So I was curious and tried to do some research. Information on the wood was scarce, but from what I was able to gather, it's basically a weed of a tree. It grows to full height within a year (if I remember correctly). I can't imagine something like that would be a good, resonant tone wood.

Re: Guitar fetish

They were trying to say it's comparable to ash... I love ash bodies- apparently lies. Poplar is a cheap readily available wood but sounds amazing for metal, I was hoping paulownia would be similar- well this sucks.... I honestly just don't want to shell out huge amounts of money. I spend all day torturing myself with those custom shop generators. Ah, i kinda figured

That SG kit looks pretty nice!

I was looking into getting a Carvin kit to build it yourself, but this looks pretty sweet. Anybody tried to build one of these yet?
