Hey guys, I have this 1970
Les Paul Custom that I am trying to completely makeover. This guitar has been beaten to death and has already been refinished. The old finish has yellowed and cracked. I sanded the neck and sides and back of the headstock, but I have some concerns about the face of the headstock. On my old jem7vwh, the headstock had the white painted on the wood. I have no idea what this substance was, but my
les paul has the same thing except black of course. Well, I wasn't thinking and started sanding, and scratched a little bit of it after the finish came off. How can I get the finish off without chemicals, and how can I repair the small scratches?
