Haha! *Check out what I got for $180! - Pawn shop find

The price on this guy was $479.99, but some ding dong marked it down to $179.99 by mistake! *I talked to the manager, and she didn't want to sell it to me, but I made her...Its a 99, made in Japan. The body and neck are in brand new condition, just no back trem cavity plate, and those silly white knobs, but no biggie....plus it came with the case, a pick, and the trem bar.

It's not really what I was looking for, but I couldn't pass up such a great deal.

Excellent. *Wish I'd make a find like this in a pawn shop one day. *All I find is CRAP! *Or cool stuff that's cheaper NEW in a music store. *

But damn boy, please replace those white knobs with black ones! *Looks downright poo-poo!

Or replace the stock pups with some nice white Di Marzio's!?! You can afford to for the amount the guitar cost!

Congrats on a sweeeeeet find Craig.

LOL...I have this image of a guy made out of a rolled-up chocolate cake with a cream filling running around with a sharpie and price tags...

Good score, man!

Its an RG570, I can see the pics, but they are:
http://www.geocities.com/corrado_craig/rg570front.txt
and
http://www.geocities.com/corrado_craig/rg570back.txt

Geocities doesn't allow linking of .jpg's so I had to rename the pictures as .txt files, and it lets you link directly to them...sometimes...

Yeah, I gotta get some new knobs, will they have the stock looking ones at guitar center or mars?
Its pretty gross looking right now. *I plan on throwing in maybe a dimarzio super distortion and some strap locks and I'll be set....

Very nice....especially for the price!!

Note to self: *start frequenting local pawn shops....although everytime I've been in the past, they usually have crappy guitars way overpriced....like a beat up Kramer Pacer for $325......

I've got a pair of cosmo dome knobs sitting here from my RG570.. They look new, too, and I don't need them for anything..

Email me, and I'll give them to you(well, send them to you)..

It just makes things a little easier to adjust imho. If you need to screw the claw further in etc, you can do so without having to remove 6 screws. Plus you can do the old Hendrix trick of holding a note until it feeds back and running your pick along the springs for some spaced out effects.

Wish i could find something like that for that price. I need the parts. Got a project JS that could use a good set of GOOD hardware. Its a js100 i'm moding into a custom 1000. *Need that elusive bridge. The TSR is only good for a paper weight.

Ever played a Kramer with only one pickup. It was ok since I had nothing else to play and I was addicted. Those were the times... *I have come across a jem or two in the past at some pawn shops in washington but I was young and couldn't afford it. But hell at 179. that's milk money. good find I tip my hat. Maby try posting the pictures again the links above came up as unavaliable. *Riff
