Hey all - I was at a music shop and this strat caught my eye. It had three single coil pickups that looked like they were cast in a resin of some sort - they were a slightly off white colour, and it didn't look like they were screwed into the pickguard - it looked like they were mounted into the body, as the pickguard kind of went around the pickup screws. Also, it had a strange bridge - a non-locking trem but it looked like a bass bridge - longer than a standard
strat bridge. Also each pickup had a rubber-encased button, and these three buttons were mounted near the tone/volume knobs. Anyway - I've never seen anything like it. It was going for about a grand used (Canadian $). I've thought about it being a modded strat, but I think it would have needed some major routing for the bridge, and a
custom pickguard. And I couldn't imagine a modded strat selling for $1000 used. Anyway any info would help.
