Here's something you don't see everyday

Well, I just got this back today. I'd accumulated the parts over time and finally sent them off to a buddy of mine in Cincinnatti to be assembled. I gotta say, I'm very pleased.











I'm sure some of you remember this Performance neck that was in the classifieds here. I know it's kinda jarring, being white and the rest of the guitar having the color scheme that it has, but I didn't have the heart to lose the Performance logo. I don't think it'd be easy to replace. The pup is a F spaced EVO, and the guitar has an onboard preamp that was in an RBM-1 that I sold to my friend who built it for me. I also had him sand down the heavy gloss on the back of the neck too.........it feels really smooth now. I'd wanted to get one of these since seeing Vai's back in the day. Although it's not an exact replica, it'll do!!

Haha........yeah man, I was just thinking that myself. This one here is a whole different thing than the 770 you sent me. Between these two and the ones I've already got, my music room is gonna look like a hairmetal time capsule.....LOL!!

Thanks man......it really screams, and plays great. As for the original flame, I'm not sure. Although I know he had alot of really nice guitars stolen back then.......the ones he had before he signed on with Ibanez. I had always thought that the flame guitar was one of them.
