I own a Heritage H150 that I love. You're absolutely right about the quality and price comparisons to Gibson. I bought my Heritage used for under $1000 and it's near mint (check my site for pics). Mine has Duncan '59 pups instead of the Schaller's but I've heard the Schaller's are great pups as well.
Only watch-out with Heritage is that they tend to need a little
fret leveling over time as the
rosewood boards swell unevenly where the board transitions from the neck to the body. Mine had this problem as did a friend of mines.
Did I mention they're made in the former Gibson plant by former Gibson luthiers in Kalamazoo, MI?
