ho ho ho, NEW AXE TONITE!!! inc. pix

Well guys, undertook a 200 mile all round journey to see this thing home, and damn its a stunner. The build quality is simply AMAZING. Dwarves any offering i've experienced so far from any main stream guitar manufacturer.

Its solid as hell, with tone to match. Nice solid slab of mahogony for the body , and a ebony finger board that almost plays itself its so smooth.

Pickups are dimarzios, (a custom wind from dimarzio based on air norton, tone zones and freds.) which is really bity on the bridge, with plenty of of harmonics and butter smooth yet powerful in the neck. The beauty of the guitars electronics are this- it allsows for 12 combinations of pickup type (i think i worked out).

You can select bucker 1, bucker 2, bucker 1 + 2, bucker 1 single coil tap, bucker 2 single coil tap, both coil tapped, bucker 1 out of phase, bucker 2 out of phase, both buckers out of phase, bucker 1 out of phase + coil tapped, bucker 2 out of phase and coil tapped, both buckers out of phase and coil tapped.

The neck itself is actually chunkier than a wizard for example from ibanez, but somehow feels faster as it is thinner in width. It's laden with nice girly dolphins and a palm tree made of abalone all up the neck to finish off a good job. Feels like prs.

Tremolo IS the most stable and great ive played. Kicks the original floyd rose and the ibanez edge pro out of the water with ease. Why? It has the stability of both, yes - just like any good high end trem sysem- but get this- it has an anti bar wobble mechinism (which i found one i got home) which is what ive been after for so long as i really hate it when arms get loose and wobble inside themselves. This allows you to tighten the arm to your perfect adjustment whether you like it flappy or tight, then log it in with a allen key from the side of the barrel. Excellent!

All in all, a very happy purchase. There are four left in the UK only at Andy's house in Farnborough near Reading/London- Go get em!!! Its just the most damn solid guitar ever constructed i swear....

Cheers & enjoy thee pix,

Kev

Awesome Awesome Awesomr guitar, such a beauty. I'd love to get one of those. And yes the Gotoh trems are fantastic, the trem arm holder is the best out there.

Palm Bay's are AWESOME axes if you can find 'em. They used to crop up quite often on Evilbay UK about 2 or 3 years back. I always wanted to try one out but never got round to it. Do you know what exact humbuckers are in there at all? Great axe though!
