I just got a ESP custom for $350!

Holy ****! I walked into a music store to buy strings and walked out with this ESP Mirage custom for $350!!!! There's some binding missing on the headstock and a couple dings, but generally it's in very good shape... frets included

Last time I went to a music store to buy strings (normally I go to the local CD store) back in January I walked out with a Carvin DC127 of the same exact color!

I'm not too fond of the pickups in it, but it plays beautifully and the price was right!!!!

Should wiped it off before I took the pic....

Nice. I like those ESP guitars, I remember a local music store here had a metallic yellow one. It was nice. Congrats.

Re: I just got a ESP custom for $350!

From looking it up, I guess they typically don't sell for much more than what I paid for the old used Mirages, but if they made a M-II with an ebony fretboard like that today, it would sell for about $3000.

I still know a great buy when I see one. A lot better than buying a used LTD at a higher price

I never thought ours would either... just keep stopping in and you never know what you might find!

I haven't played with it much because I don't think I have an allen wrench that will screw the bar in place..... with the nut not locked, the return isn't too bad. I gotta find what allen wrenches I need for it and all and lock the nut and the trem bar... it's not recessed though, so it's not in the same boat as the Jem....

I'm thinking of BKP Painkillers when they come out? The nwobhm pickups.... how are Tone Zones in alder bodies?

Also I am trying to figure out if I should put single coils or hum-canceling single coils in the neck and middle position or I should get some other dual rail pickups... if i go with single coils, that will effect my choice in the bridge pickup significantly... perhaps the BKP VHII or something...

The single coil sized humbuckers are like hot rails and the bridge is like a Duncan Distortion but significantly less muddy but over compressed enough that it sounds much more muddy than it actually is when I add gain to it.

Good deal, I say you should do some custom work.

I really like those lower output cool rails, far better than real single coil pups.
