i was going through some old gear (almost like NGD!).

so i was going through old grear just in a empty bedroom here at the casa and i found this baby covered in dust and completely neglected.

man, i forgot how much i really love this guitar. i am about half way through a proper set-up now and the memories are streaming back.

as you can see in the pics, this girl and i did not hold any punches. she's been well used (and a little abused i must say).
i'm glad i came across her as i completely forgot i still had this guitar.

cheers,
AA

I'm impressed- I've been told I have way more gear than the average guitar nut - but not enough to forget what I have :^)

Charvi's are great shredders and the #2 company behind Ibby's in my book. Does that have the Ft. Worth neck plate?

BTW- welcome to the Board and please load your location into your info. Thanks.

nope, no jft. worth stamp on the neck plate. if i remember right i slapped a screaming demon in the bridge. i'll have her in pieces tonight so i'll update the thread then.

i played charvels way before i got into ibanez. i think what turned me off where all the neon colors in the 80s and 90s.

day glow causes health problems.... well, its so unnatural that it should anyway lol.

i cant even remember for sure when i bought this one lol.

So what are your plans for the guitar mate. Is she a keeper?

I really don't understand how some people would have guitars just lying around the house.

How can you forget that you own a particular guitar? I only own one electric guitar. Why don't you send it to me and then forget you ever found it again!!

3 of my boys also play guita... between us all new gear comes and goes like you would not believe.
well, to save time and not get into too much (this is a "all ages" site), all i'll say is i have memory problems caused by a particular prescribed medication.

if you live hard, and play hard eventually your body will fall to pieces just as hard. medication that was used to treat the falling part (lol) caused a brain disorder that leaves my memory (among other things) all but gone.

on a side note- i have joined a class action lawsuit against "big pharma" regarding this issue.

cheers,
AA

Man, I own a couple of guitars, but I've never forgotten that I owned one! Those Charvel's are awesome players. My friend had one when we were in high school and it played like a dream.

yup, they are awesome players. even with all these years of playing, i was able to shim the neck and drop the action waaaaay down with no buzz. it's almost uncomfortable its so low.
