Ideas for new guitar?

I'm looking to get a new guitar under $1000, the lower the better. I'm trying to get away from the whole floyd thing just because of the pain of them. I've always loved Strat style tremolos because of the simplicity of them, plus I only use tremolos for vibrato anyways. Here are some things I'm looking for:

-Under $1000 (new or used)
-Strat style tremolo
-Humbucker in bridge
-Preferably mahogany body

I know this leaves me open to a lot of choices, but that's all I care about really. And as much as I love Fender's, I want to try something different right now. I'm really interested in PRS, but the price...

under a grand you could get one of the higher end PRS SE's with a strat style trem. I'd also check out Godin, Carvin, maybe hagstrom?

What about the new Ibanez SV series coming out this year? That or an SA series is another option.

Save your pennies and go for Suhr Pro Series. I think they're about $1700 new bt you may pick up a bargain used on the bay. The best strat style guitar for the money!

You could go custom made too. But for a mahogany body, I would go with a 22 fret guitar, so that you get better tone from the neck pickup.

You know what, how about we just start naming guitars with Strat style (is there a particular name?) tremolos. This is the hardest part to find.

-ESP LTD PH-600 (appears to be discontinued?)

Anything else I'm missing?

I'm not sure about thier rarity. I've only seen 2 in person and 2 online before, so they aren't very common. I'd say if it's what you really want it, get that money asap and snatch it up

I've decided to save for a used PRS CE24 or Standard. It's not that much more than some others, and it's the guitar that I've always wanted.
