Re: I'll show you mine if you show me yours (Strats)

Anxiously awaiting this 1990 American Strat Deluxe with GOLD Lace Sensors.
Included LR Baggs Piezo bridge and the original bridge with Tweed case.
Should be here any day now...

I can't decide if I want to scallop the existing neck or just buy one from Warmoth and have it already done and preserve the original if I sell...ever...

Its a mid 80's Japan Strat. Nothing changed other then the pick guard, wiring and the 2 Volumes.

Jaw droping nice. How do you like those G&L's? I could get ahold of a G & L Legacy S-500 but I have never played one so I don't know what the necks are like. I don't have time to go to a store and try one out.

The Legacy and S500 are two different models. The S500 is basically a Legacy with G&Ls MFD pickups, so the necks are the same. Thing is neck profiles vary quite a bit with G&L, not just the fingerboard radius. I have three Legacys and an S500 Deluxe, the newer ones tend to have bigger necks. You probably need to play one before you buy, although I bought all of mine unplayed by me.

Pics of mine ...

S500 Deluxe

As far as the left handed player is concerned G&L beats Fender hands down for choice of models and finishes etc.

My Legacy Deluxe ...

... I have quite a few G&Ls by the way ( ! )

I've got 3 strats at the moment. This is my favourite guitar right now, I call it my 'mojo' strat
