Interest and possible selling price for Gibson EDS-1275?

I may have an opportunity to trade a guitar of mine for a buddy's Gibson EDS-1275 (SG doubleneck). I would definitly be comin out on the top end of the deal for this one, but I have no use for a doubleneck, and I would just want to sell it. It's in basiclly perfect condition, white with gold hardware. So how much would it fetch for, and would people actually buy it? I'm talkin about all the Jemsiters. Anyone interested in this?
NOTE: This is not a classified, obviously, I'm just seeing whether or not I should do this trade. Just wanna make that clear.

I've seen them go for between $2300 and $2700. Sounds like a killer guitar, I wouldnt mind having one one day, but they arent really practical for most people. Also I've noticed high end stuff doesnt seem to be selling too well lately, so you may be stuck with it for awhile.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. But it would be a trade for my JS1000BP, which would probably sell for about $800 max, so damn, I would really be getting a good deal there! He just happens to be 1) really interested in my guitar and 2) absolutely loaded and can afford to throw his money around.
But yeah, if there's someone here that would want it, I'll do that trade!

Well, you could always do the trade, and even if you sell the 1275 for $1500 you would come out way ahead in the deal.

I have a young female friend who cannot go past a pair of expensive shoes which are on sale - doesn't matter even if she likes them, or even in a couple of cases whether they actually fit her......

.... sound familiar?

So you believe that making a 170% profit is a bad idea?

Absolutely not - hey, I'm Scottish - a 1% profit is enough to get a Scotsman's blood racing!

Substitute 'South Africa' for 'Australia' there and........

I thought if you were Scottish in Aus the SG was the weapon of choice?

The 1275 is a great sounding guitar; you get a mountain of sustain and beautiful tones out of both necks. Heavy beast for sure, tough to use for long, but they sound beautiful. You'll be playing "Hotel California" on it as soon as you plug it in

I got it today. I just can't stand the feel of SGs, let alone a doubleneck SG. And my plan was to sell it all along. Look for a classified for this and my RG20th!
