Is this Strat legitimate?

It's on *bay but I need to know, everything looks okay to me - but the blurry pictures and bright pickguard and pickups make me think it's tampered with, or a fake.

What's your analysis?

J/K, looks legit to me. No deviations from what I can detect. I own a 1996 US strat plus myself which has the same bridge and looks kinda similar overall.

Looks like a 1995 American Standard to me. They came with standard white plastic pickguard and stuff, so the bright pickguard shouldn't bother you (they switched to a parchment color in later years). I'd say that is what one that lived in the case and hardly used would look like 15 years later. Good luck!

My advise to you is to stay away from this one! The seller has 47 for feedback, which is too low for my liking especially given the amount of money involved. If you look at the feedback everything is low dollar items and aside from the children's CDs nothing music related. For that reason I'd say stay away.

look or ask for the serial number and better pics. better pics is never an unreasonable request. but its up to you.
