Jackson guitars..

They confuse me quite a bit..

Whats the difference between the Dinky and the Soloist? They have like, the same body, same pickup configurations, etc.. i dont see a difference.

And While to me the JS and MG series' seem to be the cheaper models and the Pro and Select series' are i guess the equivalent of Ibanezes Prestige, whats the differences between the two? (JS compared to MG and Pro compared to Select, that is.)

Re: Jackson guitars..

I think JS is Indonesian and MG is Korean, but I'm not sure, never really looked into them. Pro is Japanese and Select is American made.

As mentioned above Dinky is bolt-on and Soloist is neck-through.

I have an old JS30 made in Japan, a fine guitar too. A friend had a JS30RR made in India but he didn't like his. Maybe Jackson spread their production for the JS series across multiple locations.
