The neck is like a baseball bat. Unless specs have changed, the one I had had a very thick neck with a round back contour. Bigger than my US Standard Strat neck.

However, very very very nice guitars with the sickest tops! Here's a pic of mine. I bought it used, and unfortunately the fingerboard came with dot inlays.

Is that some kind of special model with dots? Or is it just moded by previous owner?

Looks like this year they changed the headstock to Fender Strat style, previously they used that Jackson/Charvel style headstock. Looks better now. Don't know what kind of necks Ashton likes but I love big, fat and thick baseball bat style necks.

PC1 is one the best looking guitars on earth.

Re: Jackson pc1-phil collen

Modded by previous owner. They were pearl dots - would have looked better if they were abalone IMHO. But then again, one of the features that draws me to the PC is the lack of inlays - but I got a great deal on that one, so I was willing to compromise.

Yes, the new Fender headstock looks much better.

Wow, I had never noticed the new "fender" headstock before. Looks much much better than the old type. Those old oversized fat headstocks always used to turn me off a little. But the new headstocks complete the guitar! They are seriously gorgeous guitars!

Gorgeous. I've always thought the Phil Collen sigs were the nicest Jacksons IMO.

I think I like this one better ^.

Re: Jackson pc1-phil collen

I believe the Fender licensed headstock is an option, and a $300 dollar option at that.

That is one of the few guitars I really want to try out. Gorgeous. 300 bucks for a headstock, wow, that hurts.

Re: Jackson pc1-phil collen

The licensed headstock isn't an option on the PC-1. That price is for custom orders. All PC-1's have the licensed headstock now, and I believe the price didn't change from last year.
