I use to have the RR3R. In my opinion it wasn't a bad
sounding guitar at all. It had kind of a cool scooped out sound with the
duncan designed pickups. I never thought about replacing the pickups. They sounded good enough. Although, it probably also matters what you are playing through. The trem seemed ok also. I hardly use trems. I mostly just like the locking systems for the fact that they lock. When I did use it, it never went out of tune. It all depends on if it's set up properly.
