J&D Acoustic guitar

I just felt like shearing that I just bought myself a new acoustic. Now this was a real cheap one, just over €100. But even though it was cheap it plays extremely well.

The guy from the guitar shop told me that they make J&D guitars in the same factory as Ibanez. Could this be true?

It could be true, some Ibanezes are made by Cort (I believe they changed their name to Global or something, I don't recall exactly) and some are/were made by Samick.
Most Japanese forms farm out the production of their lower end models, so it is entirely possible that many different brands are coming off of the same assembly line. Heck, the Nissan Quest minivan sold in the US is made by Ford!

If it was made in Korea, it's a fairly safe bet that it did come from the same factory as the only real manufacturers of guitars would be Samick or Cort as said earlier. Almost all Korean made guitars come from one of those two plants. About a 50/50 chance I'd say.
Also, the Pontiac Vibe rolls off the same production line as the Toyota Corolla.

World, not Global. That's why the serial number on recent Korean Ibanez guitars starts with a W.
