John Petrucci's EBMM - What is the trem on it?

Is it a normal trem or a kinda funky Floyd Rose variant? Sorry if this has been covered before, but a search for Petrucci came up with only a couple of hits.

When I look at the trem on the DT DVD, it looks like a normal trem system - but then I looked at the model on EB's site and it looks like it is floating... a shorter Floyd Rose.

What IS it?

It's probably a bit more like a traditional Fender-style tremolo than a Floyd. *There are no fine tuners, and the strings do not lock on the bridge. *It's strung just like a Strat-type trem. *The only locking parts are the Schaller locking tuners. *The trem does float pretty well though. *I've found it to be VERY stable, and quite versatile. *You can't pull up quite as much as you can on a Floyd-type trem, but it hasn't bothered me yet. *

Howdy, I have a 6-string EBMM JPM and the tremolo is an interesting combo, but it's most like a Strat. *The strings come in, balls on, from under back of the guitar, and there's absolutely no locking anywhere. *It floats and stays in tune relatively well. *It also has the screws on the back of the tuning pegs like some American Strats for staying in tune. *Hope this helps!

The white sparkle is definitely sweet - I saw a different EB/MM model in GC in that color and I had to run out of there before I pulled my wallet out. *;-)

I stick to what I said about the silver. *From where I was sitting the silver looked incredible on stage. *The Mystic was very plain and it didn't even look like the colors changed at all. *Maybe you were a lot closer than me, but I wasn't impressed at all. *The silver really showed off the lines of the guitar, the Mystic Dream didn't and just looked like a dark guitar really. *Boring! *:-)

GIVE ME SILVER!!!!
