Just bought a SPG kit

I have been searching for a set neck LP Kit for a LONG time and I stumbled upon the SPG site the other day. I've heard of SPG before but had no idea they were making kits. So the short of it is that I joined their mailing list and this evening when I got home and checked my email they had sent an email with a pre-release sale. I couldn’t resist.

Hopefully this is a quality guitar, I have pretty good wood working skills and only lack the space and some vital tools to make my own from scratch. So hopefully I will be able to improve upon the total quality of this guitar. The first thing I will do is discard all of the electronics, wiring and hardware and decide what I want to replace them with.

I know you all hate a thread like this without a series of pictures so I will do my best to offer those up

will do. The kits dont ship untill the first week of march I guess. I was just excited last night and wanted to start the thread. If this all goes acording to plan I will probably give this guitar to my little bro' in-law for his b-day and buy another to build for myself. Even if I do a good job this time around I know the second will be 10 times as nice.

HOPEFULLY the kit is quality enough to deserve tone-pros, sperzell and duncan (or the sort).

The kit should be at my house in a day or so. unfortunatly I am at work right now and wont be home to play with it (or take pics) for another 9 days. hope they go by quickly.

Quick update - The guitar arived about a week ago while I was at work, and low and behold the headstock was broken. It will be an easy fix and the company issued me a generous refund. over all quality of the guitar is good for what I paid but it is going to take a little more attention than I was hoping. I will get some pics up soon.
