I will say that they do make guitars that look identical to
Les Pauls.
But the problem is, when they flood the market with knockoff's, someone is gonna pay the price.
Whether it be the person who works at Gibson, the retailer, or the consumer.
For instance, I saw an ad on Harmony Central for one of these guitars. The only reason you could know it was fake , is that the seller said so. If they would have been a dishonest person, they could have played dumb, and the purchaser would have been none the wiser.
The pickups are even marked to be EMG or have Gibson markings.
If someone is going thru enough trouble to sell you a fake guitar, then what stops them from putting bootleg pickups, tuners and bridges in the guitar?
I know that some people have the mentality that "Well Gibson's shouldnt be so high priced".
Well, I dont drive a Ferrari, I drive a Ford F150. Why? Because I cant afford a Ferrari.
I guess it aggravates me because I am an honest person, and I have reached the point of just not trusting people when buying online.
