Koi fish inlay
Hey, check out this fish
inlay
. You can get it at
Suhr guitars
. I think it's very well done. A lot of detail and everything.
You could click on the pic to see the whole guitar.

Re: Koi fish inlay
That is pretty good inlay work, I wouldn't put a
Koi
on my guitar but it looks good. I wonder if they will get into making lots of different body inlays, maybe even a new Vai style Pyramid

Re: Koi fish inlay
Yeah, it's very impressive. I wouldn't put a
fish
on my guitar, either, but some kind of bird could be cool. Kind of like that limited edition RG with the cranes.

Re: Koi fish inlay
I agree with both of you, it looks very impressive. However, I don't like decorative instruments. I prefer the worn-in look.

Re: Koi fish inlay
Actually, the pectoral fins are not accurate ~ they are much larger in real life.
Not that anyone really cares about my vast Koi research...........

Re: Koi fish inlay
Kind of reminds me of some of the stuff Minarik Guitars does on some of their high end stuff. Granted those seem really expensive, but then again, so are their non-inlayed high end models.
