Latest Custom Shop designed guitars - i want one!!
Hi all. these are the 3 new csd guitars, hope nobody has ever posted this before...
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/index_2.html
i like the duncan/ EMG choices available on these units, i think these PUs bring out the different character in the
ibanez guitars
.

I agree stunning guitars, I don't even know which one I'd choose.
I would have to spend a long time testing each of them out though.

So, why does Ibanez make so many different models that never make it to the US dealers?
Are there any US dealers that import these or are they not allowed by Ibanez?
I think it would be great to have easy access to these other models as well as the regular US line-up.

hmm..this has long been a thorn in my side. *I asked the same question in my TREAT ME LIKE I'M JAPANESE thread in the Comments to Ibanez forum. *Apparently the deal is that Ibanez does not feel they have the business over here to support the extended range of models. *I would say however, that they don't have the business to support these few options. *If they want more business they need to expand their appeal to more than 15 year olds who want to buy a RG350DX.. * They need to bring back the *7xx line and all the other models in between.

True.
I would think they would at least make the other models available. Let us order them easily enough through a US dealer to preclude any massive tariffs. They could seed enough of them out here to get some appeal and maybe enough to warrant a small inventory with some of the major dealers.
Maybe some day....

One model that we have that they don't is the s7420, at least it's not on their site. Most people would say big deal but when I look at them I see a great project guitar.

There are ***52*** Ibanez distributors around the world. As we know, tastes are different for each country/culture. Each distributor imports and markets what they believe they can sell the most of, not what they can sell a few of. It's buisness plain and simple.

Perhaps, but most businesses are willing to take calculated risks in the interest of expanding their markets...

Yep. And it's a good thing people are willing to voice their desire for these instruments, so that
Hoshino USA
will begin to understand that they can sell some of them here, if they make the effort to bring them into the market. The secret is that they have to make these guitars available in the first place. Or maybe we can all just sit around and be satisfied with the status quo, take what we get and never dissent for fear of being outside the business plan

And then check out
http://www.espguitars.net
while you're at it to see some
real
signature artists. Hammett? Hanneman? Lynch? Give me Mana or Kozi any day.
And those guitars... those beautiful, wonderful, Japanese guitars...

this time round, the guitars have a 27" scale length. maybe these new releases are specifically meant for those chaps who detuned their guitars?
