I like em big.

I figured I'd throw you a bone since this thread was pretty serious, I didn't want you to get to far away from what you're good at.

I'm flattered, maybe a little curious, but I don't play that way.

Have you looked at the SG Classics? I want one, they are a little more than the faded, but have binding, a glossy finish, and 2 P-90s

I've seen them before. I don't think they make them anymore, do they?

Re: Long Neck Tenon

You can still get the classic, but for what they cost, I would rather have the standard.

Re: Long Neck Tenon

The best deal on Les Pauls right now are the Guitar Center (G0). Its a plain top version of the 1960 standard reissue. It has all the apointments of the $4800 1960R but with the plain top and they go for about $2300. Made in the custom shop, long neck tenon, small binding in the cutaway, ABR1 stile bridge, Bustbucker pickups, small headstock and slim taper neck, unlike the R7 and the R8 . All in All about the same price as a R7 and a R8 with the slim neck.

There are some good photos of G0's here http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=116765
