i readed in an interview that the guitar hero of matt is tom morello, so is not strange to find that weird sounding machines

funny things¡:

The Black Manson comes complete with a touch sensitive midi pad, midi rotary controller and theramin-like wah effect (that of a Zvex Wah Probe) It also includes a Zvex Fuzz Factory, the usual pickups (Seymour Duncan P90, Kent Armstrong Motherbucker and acoustic saddles) as well as a sustainer pickup system. An exact replica of this guitar would cost you £5000. (yiah¡¡¡)

the mahogany body on this bolt on guitar was routed so that there are now around 10 lasers dotted around the ?smashed mirror? body. ?They fire around 70 beams that run through various different lenses,? states Manson. ?They are connected to sound, so the harder you play, the more they come on.?

wtf¡¡

it seens to me a lot like the steve morse telecaster http://members.tripod.com/~godsize1/...ar/oldtele.gif , just more modern. and mega-expensive¡¡

Guitarist did a feature on him a while back and they pic'd two of the Manson guitars - interesting, but I wonder about their complexity, esp. the black... I find that it's much easier to work effects with my feet while playing because my hands are busy - too much is built into the black one, imho...

i don't suppose he does a hand jig half way throug a song tho, usually some effects will be left on throughout, others may be brought in half way.

He also uses a diezel amp, so he gets a chunk of his distorted sound through that and the many midi patches he's set with that.

I LOVE some of the tones he uses, the fuzz factory really has a great sound to it.

I'm just resurrecting this old topic to say I saw Muse today and Matt played the black, silver and seven string Mansons, and that his new mirror finish one has an Ibanez Edge Pro trem

I got to see muse a few years back when they opened for the red hot chili peppers and the foo fighters. It was a great show, which no one knew who the heck they were but it still rocked out

For those interested, Mr Bellamy and his Mansons are featured in thismonth's guitarist magazine. ( I think he's using an Edge family trem on his latest MAnson too by the look of things!)
