Melancon guitars
LOL!!! we've been round and round about that. *He's "older" from the 70's generation. *He's not into flat necks and pointy headstocks. *I usually stop by his shop once a week or so, so I know him pretty well. *He's kinda a local legend around here. *He's probobly one of the best players I've ever heard. *Basically its what he likes. *(think about if you built guitars for a living, what would they be like?)*He will build the necks to pretty much any radius that you want... up to 16", but everything he has on site are 12". *I've told him I'd love to play a flat thin neck, but I'd have to order one for him to build it. *I have one (a 12" radius neck) and after playing on my Ibanez it feels really fat. *But in all honesty there is something about this guitar that smokes everything for semi-clean and clean stuff. *The tone more than makes up for what I feel the neck lacks. *Don't get me wrong the action is low, the frets are dressed better than anything I've ever owned. *But I cut my teeth on a flat neck and that's what I love. *I still bring it to the gig, and play it for anything that doesn't require hi gain or super fast playing. *The pictures don't do them justice... I like to just go to his shop and ogle the tops... he uses awesome maple wood and his finishes are increadable. *I'm working on him... what can I say
