Melancon Ryan Marie Tribute (PICS!)

She finally arrived last Friday. As many of you know my daughter Ryan Marie passed away from a sudden illness on July 1, 2007. We used to love fishing through the MF catalogue gawking at guitars. She'd be quick to tell me which one's she liked (most of 'em!). It was my hope to buy her a guitar one day. I didn't know it would be like this.

At any rate...this is my personal tribute to Ryan. A Melancon Pro Artist in Shell Pink. It rings like a bell and plays like butter. I've been wanting a traditional single coil Strat and this fits the bill nicely. Locking tuners, nice two-post trem with a pop-in bar. Melancon Blues-wind single coils (I understand they're made by Dimarzio). The neck is chunky but oh so sweet - satin finish is fast. I'll let the photo's do the talking...and since I know somebody will ask...$1563.00

melancon's are fantastic guitars. i am very saddened by hearing of your daughter. i have a little girl as well and i have bought her several instruments to play whenever she decides she wants to. for $1500 that is a steal for any custom guitar, especially with melancon on the headstock. our hearts and prayers are with you, my friend. god bless.

Excellent Memorial, I know it will never be the same without her. But with that instrument you two will still be able to talk..

Wow man, I'm really impressed! That's a fantastic strat-style guitar... much better than most Fenders I've seen for the last few years. It's that much better being that it's a tribute to your daughter - the best of wishes to you, buddy.
