Monster Guitar Shop

Has anybody ever dealt with Monster Guitar Shop

http://www.monsterguitarshop.com/index.html

They can do Satch bodies plus they seem to offer some form of chrome finish.

Regards

From what I read so far on the Kramer forum, it seems like it is the same guy (Doug?) running it. I just quoted him hear weather he does lefties of the JS replica. ANSWER : He does .

Re: Monster Guitar Shop

I stumbled across this older post... but I have had two going on three very good transactions.

I did a 5150 and EVH Frankie Kit (Pics available if wanted - Just email me) and had no issues at all; and his pricing is awesome!!!

Other's experiences may be attributed to maybe initial startup or the tilt of the earth or whatever... but my two experiences were without incident.

My next transaction is going to be an EBMM EVH/Axis.... so more details to follow.

Re: Monster Guitar Shop

Doug has built me two JS bodies with a ZR route and they are SWEET bodies. He just got retooled with some new CNC equipment and his turnaround time for my bodies was a couple of months. i reccomend him.

Re: Monster Guitar Shop

I don't recommend MGS. Long waiting time and a UV body who's specs are not compatible.

Thank the guys @ Robberts guitars for fixing everything.

Re: Monster Guitar Shop

I bought a 540pii body from him. It was shipped quickly and finished nicely, but needed some adjustments to meet the specs I gave him (tremolo cavity was too small for an Edge, neck pocket was too narrow for the heel, holes for trem inserts were too small). Shipping back and forth for corrections was costing too much, so I had to spend a couple of hundred extra bucks at a local luthier to have everything corrected.
