You're trippin' right?

WOW. Alls I have to say is if you don't know the difference, you don't know.

Nord, I'd liken the difference between a Harmony strat and Fender american standard...ouch.

Careful guys, some people get crabby when you say inexpensive gutiars arent as good as their more expensive counter parts.

Better wood, better hardware, better pickups, better build quality

Re: Musicman Axis v's the OLP model

There are some threads on the OLPs in here somewhere (even though when I put OLP in the search engine it doesn't retrieve anything...) Personally, we set mine up really nice, ground of the fret tang ends so they wouldn't cut your fingers, added an original Floyd and nice pickups, and now it plays like a much nicer guitar.

That being said, it's still got a cheezy photoflame top and is just not anywhere near to being in the same league with the Ernie Ball Music Man. I mean mine of pretty good for a $300 or so investment into a guitar, but the EBMMs are just incredible. So, it all depends on your budget and how much time/ability you have to get the guitar set up nice. I've also heard that the general quality on those is very random, although the 3 or so I've had pass through have been pretty similar I think.
