My Fender DOUBLE Fat Strat...

First of all - hello! This is my first post on the jemsite forums! I thought I would show everyone my current baby...it's a Fender American Deluxe Double Fat Strat.

Does anyone else have a double fat strat?? I certainly have seen plenty of regular fat strats, but can't recall finding another DOUBLE fat strat owner. I get a great tone from the two Seymour Duncans, and I'm surprised more people haven't scarfed this thing up...

That is a beautiful color!!! What is a fat strat? Sorry if I seem dense. And what makes a double. I'm trying to learn my guitar types now.
I have a yellow Fender strat that I adore.

A fat strat has a humbucker and a double fat strat has two of them if I'm not mistaken. And yeah, lovely color.

Thanks! I guess I have a fat strat Fender then. I can call it that without feeling like a retard, which is a common feeling for me.

Well, if it'll make you feel any better, just look at any of my drunken posts from last night. I swear I need one of those breathalyzer ignitions for my computer.

Oh yeah, and I don't think EVERY strat with a humbucker is a fat strat, just so you know. Yours may be, but not necessarily.

I've got another party to go to tonight, I think I will unplug my keyboard before I leave.

Why, do you feel like you can't be trusted? For me it is impossible to type if I am trashed. Have fun at your party!

What Duncans are there?!

Great color and cool pearloid pickguard (or is it just the flash from the camere that makes it so shiny?!)

Thanks - it is quite a beautiful color! Yes, I bought it new around 2001 when I was like 16 and have managed to keep it in great condition.

Um to be honest, I don't know which Duncans are in it...when I bought it I wasn't as tech-savvy with guitars - I just knew Duncans would sound sweet in a Fender...and now this model is discontinued, so I'm not sure how to look it up! Yeah, I love the pearloid pickguard - and no, it's not the flash - it really is that shiny and beautiful...

Thank you! Well, hopefully I will be purchasing a Jem sometime this summer and that will be my baby with a Floyd.

Here's another gratuitous pic of it...this time in action!
