My New Guitar
So i bought the new s370. i'm very much impressed with it, the price and the quality just don't make any sense. the quality is amazing, and i got it for 640$ canadian!!!
so the 3rd day it was in my house, i broke a string, and this being my first floyd guitar, i decided to practice changing strings, (my bro taught me how, he's a member on this board...). so i had no problems changing the strings right? suddenly while tuning i notice something wrong...the bridge is pulling out of the body like by 2 cms!!! i realized the guy at the store made mistake when giving me 10-46's cause the guitar was setup with 9-42's. so i gave it to another friend and he somewhat set it up for me, it's not perfect, the bridge is still like ...2mm's out of the body, but it still plays nicely...
the thing is i won't be able to set it up till next year, cause there are no guitar stores where i live...(cairo egypt)

Congrats on the new axe!
As for set up tips, check out Rich Harris' site:
www.ibanezrules.com
He's got a really in depth primer on the used page.
Good luck and enjoy!

My New Guitar
kofta! what's going on bro!
yea so i may as well stick to the subject...
these pickups are very very muddy, the distortion setting's on my V-AMP are killing me here, they were fine on my brother's ibanez (pryde97) and on my dearmond, but they just suck with this guitar, so i'm blaming the pickups. any sugestions?
ps. i play metal, no *********

I'm surprised no one here has cried about your user name... usually the first semi-offensive thing that happens there is an uproar.
Anyways, rock on and all that good stuff.
Don't use
Ibanez pickups
... go test some Duncans or DiMarzios or EMGs or whatever the hell the kids are diggin today...

My New Guitar
well, try messing around with the eq first, bro
if you absolutely can't get the sound you want out of it, i recommend going to the dimarzio (
www.dimarzio.com
) and emg (
www.emginc.com
) website and checking out the descriptions of the tones each pickup has. also check out
seymour duncan
(
www.seymourduncan.com
), cause they might have some good stuff too.
lol jay you're such a cynic... i can relate to that. btw, isn't your nickname on vai.com Zap? i remember some dude who had awesome gear and the same attitude coming on to vai.com with that nick, and everyone called him jay. hmm...
