My newest baby...

I've been away from here for a while. What better way to come back than with pics of a new baby

Rodney Reindeer digs it

She's an ESP/LTD JD-600 Jon Donais model. I've since switched the 81 to the bridge position and the 85 to the neck position. Other than that though, she's pretty sweet.

I think I may swap the 85 for a 60, but I'm not quite sure yet...

dude, 60's are the BEES KNEES. They sound fantastic clean. the 85 is better for soloing in my opinion, but only slightly.

Great guitar.
I love the simplicity of the Jon Donais model.
They have kept it simple with this guitar and let the tone speak for itself, by using neckthru, and EMG's.

Congrats on a cool guitar.

Thats what I'm hoping for. The 85 isn't bad, but its so hot that it doesn't balance well with the 81. The 60 should be much nicer.

Same here. That is what attracted me to it.

Its barebones, but in a way it is very elegant. It has all the makings of a real workhorse instrument.

I also love the one volume knob only. The majority of the time these days, we guitar players tweak our effects and amps to get the tone we want.
And with all of the new technology, for dialing in the tones we would like, I just don't talk to many guitarist these days who use their tone knobs.

Indeed I never really use it. That and I enjoy the hotter signal

Its MUCH thicker. If you're looking for a thin neck, this guitar is not for you.

I should probably note that even though the neck is thick, the matte finish makes it feel very "fast".
