My Old Poser Lady

I made a graphic using photoshop, painted my guitar with dark metallic blue then glued that graphic over it.Of course she would be better with a black FR and blue evos. Some clear layers and she was ready to fly.Pics are crap cause colors are really alive !

And this is how my kramer is going to be =

My second choice with black FR and red evos =

I have a prestige 1527 but I can't mess with it cause here it costs about 2000 dollars.
My jackson is old so it needed a transformation.

Very nice! Fill us in on some of the details: What kind of medium did you print the graphic on? What did you use to adhere the graphic to the body? Definitely interested in your technique.

Re: My Old Poser Lady

I went to a graphics place(I don't know how you call it there),that place wich do printings and they printed it in the same paper of cds, here it's called couche paper, cheap as hell about 2 dollars.
I glued using wood glue or white glue then clear coated 3 times.
You can ask them to print it as a stick so you won't have to use glue.
It's just a piece of wood if you don't like the results,re-do it.
First I made a guitar with real measurements in photoshop then created a graphic over it.
As you can see there's no technique, any kid could do it,as a matter of fact kids can do it better cause they aren't stucked to myths and stuff, they see guitars as how they really are, pieces of wood with magnets.
Easy as hell,cheap as hell.

Re: My Old Poser Lady

Thanks Jim.
Here everything related to instruments is very expensive so I didn't want to pay about 300 dollars to a guy to paint those graphics. We have computers so we can do everything we want.I have a friend who copied from the internet an awesome exotic wood top, printed and glued, now people think his guitar is very expensive because it has an awesome exotic wood's top ! LOL
If you have a guitar wich is in good shape I mean,no dings etc,you can glue it right over its clean coat layer than apply new clear coats over it.No need to sand it down.
The sky is the limit.

Really good question,I just made a burst around it with same color I painted its body. But you can paint the boarder paper as if you were painting just the guitar side.I made a burst(shadow) because I liked the idea.

Ah, I see. I thought you did the print-out, in-house. Well, then, that certainly makes sense. Good going!

I didn't print it in my house because I have a small printer, graphic was too big for it but if you have a printer wich can,do it.

You can use coloured pens too, even if a pen is a little lighter or darker than the body color cause when clear coating, colors will match each other.
