There were definitely some interesting things at NAMM, but I found this year to be pretty disappointing overall. *Also, the Santana SE is the Korean model...the Santana III is $3500 and is still made in Conn, USA. *It's more or less the same as the Santana & Santana II, but without the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and headstock overlay, and doesn't have the Eagle headstock inlay or the Paua abalone purfling on the body. *All killer guitars though!

Actually, I think Hondo is going to buy out Gibson, so there should plenty of quality Hondo's in the near future just for you! *Geez...any new Hondo's.... *

Heh. Alain Caron in Metallica. Riiiight. That'd be about as goofy as Les Claypool in Metallica.

I caught Alain Caron at The Top o' the Senator last weekend, and i can tell you that he is one of the most incredible bassists (and musicians) i've ever seen. What Victor Wooten is to slap-'n'-tap funk, Alain Caron is to meticulously played fretless 6-string yumminess. And those F basses are gorgeous.

Just trying to pack as many hyperlinks in one post as possible! :biggrin:
