I've been working on this for the last month or so. Warmoth body, alder with high grade flame top. Dyed and Tru-oiled. Charvel MIJ ProMod neck. Gotoh Floyd. Dimarzio Breeds. I'm absolutely thrilled with the way it turned out, never would've imagined!
Saving the best for last:
So that's 3 Charvels now, I think I'm addicted!
There's a whole thread about the insanity on metalguitarist.org here. I got really stressed out doing the dye job, worried that I would fubar it.
I used transtint dyes, mixed in water. Black on the sides and back, one application of black on the top, sanded back to show the grain, an app of green on the top, sanded back again, and then green coats until it wouldn't take any more dye.
Nice! Did you run into any issues fitting the neck to the warmoth body? I thought I heard something about the pocket width not fitting Charvel necks (or vice versa).
Very nice collection! I have a question. On the two guitars on the right, what is the thing on the trem by the low E string locking bolts? Is that some sort of detuning device?
That is awesome - very classy, looks very well crafted too. Congrats on the guitar - very inspirational stuff.
