need advice, 6 string, fixed bridge, super-strat shape

Hi guys,

I'm in the market for a fixed bridge guitar with humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Super strat shape, like an RG preferably.

The old USRG with the fixed bridge would've been perfect. But I've been unable to find any.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Have you considered one of these?

Glen and Jeremy have created a masterpiece from a fairly inexpensive guitar.

Carvin puts out some high quality fixed bridge axes also.

That RG looks great. They're a bit hard to come by though in Australia.

Take a vacation. Come to the U.S. Buy one here. Take it home. It's a win-win situation.

There's a store in Adelaide dedicated solely to Ibanez guitars. I'm sure they could help you out. They pride themselves on stocking every single Ibanez model available (and do awesome discounts for cash - over $1500 off a VHW or VSBL). I won't give their name here in case that breaks forum rules, but they're pretty easy to find.

Ishibashi ships worldwide, contact them about shipping to Australia. Ibanez currently makes:

RG1521-- basswood Prestige, in white or black, 2 humbuckers.

RG3271-- mahagony with flame maple top, Prestige, HSH Dimarzio pickups, in DBK

RG621M-- mahagony, maple fretboard, HH pickups, in black (beautiful guitar!)

RG2081-- Basswood, HSH Dimarzios, Prestige, in GP

As you can see, Japan gets all the cool stuff!

This store in Adelaide ships overseas as well, if anyone's interested. Ooh they have the J (White Zombie) Iceman.
